Tradizione, formazione, rivoluzione

(Tradition, Training, Revolution)

This poster was produced by the neo-fascist organization Comunità Militante RAIDO (Militant Community RAIDO, CMR). Founded in 1995, CMR sponsors various "militant training groups," boxing and combat sports competitions, and mountaineering, which are intended for young, far-right Roman men. The group encourages its members to pursue the group's so-called "triad of Tradition": "Tradizione - Formazione - Rivoluzione" (Tradition - Training - Revolution) (N/Da). CMR's symbol, an upright bow and arrow – which is featured on the bottom-right-hand corner of this poster – was inspired by a well-known passage in the Markandeya Purana, an ancient Sanskrit text: "Life as a bow, the soul as an arrow, the Absolute Spirit as the target to be pierced" (N/Db).
